Meet Me Bridge

What you need to know

The meet-me conference bridge feature allows multiple callers to join in a single call, which enables meetings among diversely located invitees at any time. Once the feature is installed, it can be used at any time without the need for scheduling or a reservation.

Administrators can set up and configure the meet-me conference bridge service within the admin portal for a group or location.

Feature Details

  • Multiple conference bridge owners (moderators) for a group/location can be assigned to the same bridge.
  • Each bridge supports up to 50 concurrent participants (ports), so customers will need to allocate their bridge owners based on an assumed level of oversubscription.
  • Bridge ports are consumed on a first come-first served basis among all conference participants and moderator hosts.
  • A Conference ID and Moderator PIN will be system generated for each moderator user assigned to a bridge and emailed.

Assign a Phone Number to the Meet-Me Conference Bridge

  1. Log in to the Enterprise Portal and select your site.
  2. Select the Numbers tab.
  3. Locate the number you wish to assign the meet-me conference bridge license to.
  4. Select Assign Service from the Actions drop-down menu.
  5. Proceed to select Meet Me Bridge from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Next. Your service is now assigned to that number.

Configure the Settings for the Meet-Me Conference Bridge

  1. Log in to the Enterprise Portal and select your site.
  2. Select Advanced Service and then Productivity Services.
  3. Select Conferencing.
  4. Click Edit on your newly configured meet-me conference bridge phone number.
  5. Under Settings, you will find:
    1. Telephone Number - This is auto-filled.
    2. Name - Enter a descriptive name for the meet-me conference bridge.
    3. Caller ID - This is auto-filled.
    4. Toll-Free Number - If applicable, select a number from the drop-down menu.
    5. Extension - Enter an extension to assign to the meet-me conference bridge.
    6. Time Zone - Select your time zone from the drop-down menu.
  6. Select the language for audio announcements.
  7. Finally, assign moderators to the bridge. Click the users you'd like to assign from the Available list to move to the Assigned list.
  8. Once selected, click on the right arrow. The user moves to the Assigned list.
  9. Click Save.
